are we?
Loch Ness
English is an English school located in the village of Fort Augustus,
next to the famous Loch Ness in Scotland. It is a small school, catering
for small groups or private students. We provide excellent lessons by qualified
teachers, conduct our own tours, and provide comfortable accommodation in
traditional hotels and Bed & Breakfast guest houses. All this happens
within the beautiful landscape of the Scottish Highlands, with mountains,
forests, rivers, and a famous lake (or 'loch') on the doorstep. We look
after you for your whole trip, from meeting you at the airport to helping
with car hire, bookings, and travel arrangements. In addition, although
we want you to study English, we offer assistance in other languages, including
Japanese and French, if required. |

The
village of Fort Augustus
The
school is in Fort Augustus, which is a small highland village. It is a
beautiful place, quiet but with plenty of restaurants, pubs, and souvenir
shops. It is situated on the Caledonian canal, which runs right across
Scotland and it has a famous series of 'locks' - a kind of water staircase
for boats. It is in the centre of the Scottish Highlands so is a very
good base for seeing the rest of Scotland.
